City of Auburn - City Clerk

The City of Auburn is seeking qualified applicants for the position of City Clerk. This is a part-time position, Monday through Thursday, with negotiable hours.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Excel. Experience with gWorks is preferred but not required. Candidates should demonstrate excellent customer service skills and have a financial background with experience in billing, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and social media posting.

This position is responsible for preparing annual reports, completing online filings, developing budgets, preparing council agendas, recording meeting minutes, and performing other municipal administrative duties.

Qualifications and additional job information are available below. Candidates must sign a release authorizing a criminal background check.

Compensation is based on training and experience. A wage increase may be considered following a 90-day evaluation. Benefits include IPERS, AFLAC, and Life Insurance.
